Around SBN: Terry Collins, David Wright, And The Mets/Brewers Kerfuffle

With a lower body injury (possibly, but not necessarily his groin), Gagne is unlikely to play against Washington. Blair Betts is unlikely to come off the IR in time to take his spot, so look for more Rockin' Riles.

I read that Betts and Parent both aren’t expected to be ready until Saturday.

WTH Gagne? Is this the beginning of the end with him?

Completely off-topic: I’m watchin the Orange Line on CSN, and some fan asked who has the hardest slap shot on the team. James van Riemsdyk and Danny Briere said Chris Pronger, while Brian Boucher and Claude Giroux both said Arron Asham. (Giroux mentioned Gagne after Asham) Asham getting respect for his slap shot?? Wow.

What can’t Arron Asham do? I’m about to build the dude an altar somewhere in my home for personal, reflective worship of his awesomeness.

Riley Cote, Mika Pyorala, et. al…. hold down the fort please.

Poor Simon. I hope, by the grace of God, he gets to raise the Stanley Cup here.

Heres the solution....

we go to the store, buy a cardboard cut-out of some actor, glue a hockey stick to it, place it in the neutral zone and have its line-mates grab it during changes, and i believe that its still an upgrade over Cote.
