That’s what a good leader says. Compare to the bullshit Richards talks about.

Take a guess before you click the link.

Haha, only I can put depressing Crosby quotes in the fanshots (kidding). Besides, they unfortunately haven’t lost in forever.

I thought it was Pronger but it turned out to be the other one. I agree that Richards isn’t the strongest leader and his words down the stretch last year really stuck in my craw. Sometimes the most talented player doesn’t make the best captain, but there’s still time for Mike to learn.

I don't get it

From the day he was drafted, people spoke of Richards as being a leader.

Maybe the organ-eye-zation should have been clued in last summer, when he kept asking everyone “Really? Do you think I can be a good captain?”

Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?

Crosby

Wasn’t the greatest leader at first, but he grew into the role. Then again, success helps breed a confident leader. The Flyers have only digressed ultimately since Richards took the helm. Coincidence or causal, I don’t know, but it certainly doesn’t help. Of course, in Philly we like our leaders to be more vocal and no BS, and that doesn’t appear to be Mike’s character at all. Even Briere seems to be less political in his media dealings, but he can’t stay on the ice.
