Ranking the Flyers: Number 20
Well that didn't take long. Receiving a majority of the vote, PK Specialist Blair Betts wins his first vote on the board. His 51% beat out Dan Carcillo's 24%.
With only two players who were on the ice in Carolina still on the board, it will be interesting to see where people fall at this point.

Carcillo
I really don’t get all the Carcillo hate. Yeah, he takes some dumb penalties but he has a big involvement in every game so if your ranking importance, I don’t get how some of these guys are ahead of him.
He’s gritty, he’ll fight anyone, and he plays with an infectious intensity. It can have its drawbacks in the form of dumb penalties but he also drew a couple last night. I really love this guy and quite frankly wish they still had Steve Downie too.
….and he really doesn’t take dumb penalties. His reputation leads to lots of questionable calls, but in the terms of dumb penalties, how can you say guys like Hartnell and cote aren’t worse???
Both of those players take dumb penalties too, Hartnell just has a lot of other value to get him up to #8… and Cote is getting smoked in the vote by Carcillo consistently, so it’s not like the votes are saying Cote is of more value. I find Carcillo frustrating, in that he often acts like a much younger player than he is, just from a behavior standpoint. I realize his reputation gives him trouble, but that applies to the other too, as well. Hartnell is treated as a laughing stock by other cities (look at some other team’s boards), and Cote’s reputation also precedes him. It’s also working against both Cote and Carcillo that they sort of share a role with Asham, so regardless of their individual strengths and skills, their perceived shared role decreases their individual values in the poll. If Carcillo can start to behave in a slightly more mature manner more often, and I think he is starting to head in the right direction, I believe he’ll start to command a little more respect.

You gotta be aware of your reputation and not do questionable stuff then.
