Philadelphia Flyers Fan Confidence Rating: Week 2 Voting
It's Monday, and that means it's time to determine the Philadelphia Flyers Fan Confidence Rating. You vote, on a scale of 0 percent to 100 percent, how confident you are in the current direction of the organization as a whole. That means that you're taking into account the team's on-ice performance, management and coaching decisions, and the overall status of prospects and the farm system.
It's just the second week of the poll. Last week, voters said that they were 73 percent confident, but with the season beginning and the Flyers looking good in their first two games of the year, will that number sway?
Voting will stay open for 24 hours, and the results will be posted on Tuesday morning and graphed alongside previous results.
So, how confident are you in the current direction of the Philadelphia Flyers organization?

I still think too many bad penalties but we can work on that. So far the defense looks great and Emery is fantastic. We’ll see what happens this week though as we face off against two tough teams. I can’t wait to see how our improved D handles Ovie, Crosby, and Malkin. I’m really excited about this year!
I am not surprised to see the that people’s ratings are high for this week. I think the Flyers answered A LOT of questions with the wins over Carolina and NJ. Neither of those teams are to be taken lightly and watching the Flyers play strong, tough yet smart hockey was a wonderful way to start the season. There are always things that need to be worked on, but hey, the boys are 2-0 and despite what some might say, these wins were well deserved.
I think the big thing for most people (obviously) was the way that Razor played in goal. He was nothing less that magnificent. Lets hope he is able to keep it up all year.
Man, I would love to pick up 2 wins this week. How good would it feel to get back to back W’s against the two teams most think are going to challenge for Eastern Conference supremacy? I definitely think they have a chance to do it!
Oh... well then...
I guess I need to explain myself a bit. I am the lone 60% vote right now, and I want to make the note that this is not an upset or dissatisfied vote. At this point, I am content with what the Flyers have done, but I remain unconvinced that they are the perfect organization to this point. Lets call it “tempered excitement” for now.
I’m not sure about the others, but I view the percentages in the mathematical sense and not the scholastic – thus 50% is “average” and not failing. My vote last week was 60% and it remains the same (it bumped a few percentage points, but not enough to move it to 70%), going under the assumption that 2 games does not sway the entire season. There is still a lot unknown, including how good (or bad) the Carolina and New Jersey teams actually are.
Again, it’s not that I hate the organization – I think they’ve done a lot of good things and are pointed in the right direction. My confidence will grow when they show that they actually move in the right direction, and make the proper adjustments when things go awry.

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
