Capitals Vs Flyers-The Versus Battle

As you all know Directv and Versus are in negotiations about the rights to keep the channel running on directv. I have directv and I bought Center Ice and NFL Sunday ticket so I could watch our beloved Flyers and Eagles because I dont live close to Philly area anymore. Now that I cant watch every game, what is the point? With the Flyers off to a great start and an awesome game to come tonight, truthfully I'm pissed I cant watch this in crystal clear HD on my 50 inch Panasonic Plasma TV. Anyone else that is irate about this, or even comcast locals can help out and voice an opinion by going here. I believe there are 7 more games that the Flyers will be broadcast on Vs. not to mention some playoff games, and I sure as hell do not want to go to some Skybox bar by myself. Please help out and voice your opinion.

Also I will be going to a Flyers vs. San Jose Sharks game at SJ with a friend who is a die hard sharks fan. And being that I need a new Flyers jersey I was thinking Pronger would be a legit purchase. Although I asked him about it and apparently I would get harassed out of my head if I were to wear a Pronger jersey in the Shark Tank. What do you think? Im thinking Emery or Richards as a second option. Any thoughts?

I agree with Travis (though I didn’t vote that way). Pronger is hated everywhere, but I don’t know San Jose fans to be notoriously brutal. If you get the Pronger, wear it proudly.

That is the nature of going into another team’s house wearing the opposition’s jersey; getting harassed is half to fun (assuming the Flyers win). Just be don’t obnoxious and be respectful considering you are in someone else’s house. Oh but cheer your head off!

When I buy a jersey, I always worry about the longevity of the player I put on the sweater. So my vote would be Richards (or less so, Pronger) considering they are both supposed to be in Philadelphia for awhile.

Have fun at that game though. The Sharks should get a good view of the team that will hopefully be raising the Cup while they are watching from their couches after yet another playoff collapse.

Pronger Jersey

The bigger question with the Pronger jersey is if you get the home orange do you put that A on it. Right now Pronger wears the A on the road but might switch to home after the Olympic break. 7 year contract at 35 years old plus 3 number 1 picks means Pronger will be hear for awhile unless he gets bought out after the CBA expires but I doubt it. I have been wrong before thinking Handzus would be a Flyers staple for many years but I don’t care I still rock my “Zeus” jersery.
