Ranking the Flyers: Number 23
(Even though it has nothing to do with this round of voting, I just love that picture.)
Another runaway win in the Ranking the Flyers series as OKT wins 45% of the vote, more than doubling up second place Riley Cote.
With only one more player on the 23-man roster available, there is a clear favorite this round. Let's see what happens.
- Mike Richards
- Kimmo Timonen
- Jeff Carter
- Chris Pronger
- Simon Gagne
- Claude Giroux
- Ray Emery
- Scott Hartnell
- Braydon Coburn
- Danny Briere
- James van Riemsdyk
- Matt Carle
- Ryan Parent
- Ian Laperriere
- Darroll Powe
- Brian Boucher
- Arron Asham
- Mika Pyorala
- Blair Betts
- Dan Carcillo
- Danny Syvret
- Ole-Kristian Tollefsen

How is Cote more valuable in the short term or long term than Nodl or Maroon (who is basically a better, younger version of Cote)?
Did you just say Maroon is Cote?

It makes me smile, I can say that.
They had to be looking ahead to tomorrow.
Watching the game makes me all the more thrilled about that Carcillo for Upshall trade. I know there were salary circumstances, but yeesh.

Phoenix isn’t as bad of a team as everyone seems to think they are. Bryzgalov is a good goalie. The assumptions that they’re going to finish 14th or 15th in the West are influenced more by the off-ice issues than anything else. Dave Tippett seems to be doing a great job on such short notice (or maybe Wayne Gretzky was just that bad).
Don’t get me wrong, they’re obviously no Detroit or Chicago, and I don’t think they’re necessarily a playoff team right now, but 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th in the conference? Seems like more of a possibility than 14th or 15th, if you ask me.
I agree, but the problem is that their team is very young. Therefore, their success depends a lot upon guys maturing quickly, which could go either way. They definitely have talent.

MARVELOUS!
I saw a bunch of ppl on campus today wearing their Penguins’ jerseys today (quite a few were those babyblue winter classic jerseys. I just laugh everything I see them. They look so stupid and what a feminine color). As is expected, most of those jerseys were purchased right before the playoffs so that everyone could jump on the Penguin bandwagon. Everyone is excited about the Pens so all I can do is smile widely to see they not only lost but got shutout! I hope this is a very common occurrence ALL year!
