Well...

… at least they resolved this issue.

Don’t let him come back until New Years’, just to be safe. We’ll have to get on without him.

Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?

Im OK with this. Right after the Olympics we pretty much play a game every other day until the end of the season. If is has recovered and is healthy rested and ready to fire on all cylinders by then its cool. Thats the make or break time for us.

Hard as it is to believe, New Year’s is only a little more than 8 weeks from now…. But I’d much rather have him at 100% for January to April (or hopefully June…) then have him play hurt sooner. I just hope he’s ready for the Winter Classic, I’d hate for him to have to miss it.

Not that its our primary concern, but no way he makes the Olympic squad being this fragile.

One less player we have to worry about being burned out and exhausted after the Olympics, then. Gagne is my favorite player and I really wanted him to make the team especially since he wore an ‘A’ in Torino…. But if he’s hurt and he’s not going to make the team anyway, I’m going to take the glass half full approach and be glad that he’ll be healthy for us when we get back from that break.

I rejoiced at this thought when I heard the announcement. And the fact that he’s going on LTIR now and Holmgren can go get a DMan or two.

Righty-o.

And then, when Gagne comes back, we can be in the exact same situation we were in at last year’s trade deadline and beyond. I sure hope David Sloane is around just in case!

They’re already in that situation, except with worse players to start from.

Flyers scouting Forsberg now

According to Yahoo Sports… I guess Forsberg can walk again…
