In a shock to no one, Kimmo Timonen has been named to the Team Finland roster for the 2010 Olympics, where he will lead the defensive corps of the reigning silver medalists.
Three former Flyers have made the cut as well--Joni Pitkanen, Lasse Kukkonen and Antero Niittymaki.
Despite my hopes and dreams, Sami Kapanen did not make it, though some lesser Kapanen named Niko did.

Wow, Kukkonen as an Olympian? I gotta think Sami would make a better D-man than Lasse.
