2010 Winter Classic: A weather update & today's itinerary
BOSTON -- Local weather reports in Boston have all but eliminated rain from their forecasts for tomorrow's Winter Classic. Instead, they are calling for light snow at times on Friday, which could potentially create the perfect atmosphere for the NHL's third annual outdoor game. Weather.com is calling for the same thing, and all of greater Boston could get a few inches of snow before all is said and done this weekend, making my commute home juuuuuuuust wonderful.
If you're home on this New Years Eve and you have the NHL Network, you can enjoy the festivities just like you're here. Well, kind of. The Network will be covering both team practices today live at 11 AM ET and they will stay on the air for four-and-a-half hours. Considering you probably don't want to spend your entire afternoon in front of the TV for practice (cue A.I. clip), the Bruins will take the ice at 11:30 AM and the Flyers will take the ice at 2 PM. I'll be at the ball-rink for both practices and providing my take here all along.
Oh, and CSN Philly is re-broadcasting NHL Network's coverage of Flyers practice at 6:30 tonight.

Any bets/odds on which Flyer is so hungover he pukes on the ice tomorrow?
New Year’s Eve in Boston, which may have 20 times the amount of bars that Philly has + our hard partying Philadelphia Flyers = Winter Classic 2010 surprise.
This NHLN coverage is simultaneously really boring and really cool.
