Timonen and Giroux back

Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen will be in the lineup tonight when the club takes on the Boston Bruins at the TD Banknorth Garden (7:00 p.m., Comcast SportsNet). Timonen has missed the last four games with the flu. The Flyers held an optional skate this morning in preparation for the game.

Also, the Flyers announced that forward Claude Giroux has been recalled from the Phantoms, and Nate Guenin and Jared Ross have been reassigned back to the Phantoms.

remember, he took out lupul when lupul was having one of the best stretches in his career. jones, for all his suckitude, has at least never helped the other team out by severely injuring one of his own teammates.

two years ago, he couldn’t even get over the boards in the playoffs.

i don’t know why you guys bash on jones so much… flyers were sold enough on this guy seeing how they unloaded freddy meyer a couple years ago. he only has played a third of the season granted… but hatch over jones?!?! the man has no knees left…

anyway, at least they fear jonesy in boston, they’ll boo him tonight because of patrice’s 2 cent head

I don’t agree with the Hatcher for Jones stuff, but I am very harsh on Jones because of his contract and how much ice time he gets every night. I know it’s been because Kimmo has been out, but when Randy Jones is getting 26 minutes a night, you’ve got a problem. He’s at best, in my opinion, a third pairing guy, and he shouldn’t be playing more than that and he shouldn’t be getting paid like he’s better than that.
