Danny Briere left in the second period with a tweaked groin and could not return in the third period. GM Paul Holmgren says it's a physical issue and that there was a "bubble of blood" in the same area as his original groin injury. No replacement has been discussed, and there is no word on how long Briere will be out of the lineup.
