Introducing the newest additions to the Broad Street Hockey staff

I am pleased to annouce the addition of three new writers to the Broad Street Hockey fold.

First off, we're welcoming two writers that will covering the Flyers on a regular basis. If you're a regular reader of this site, you will no doubt recognize their work. Geoff Detweiler, also known as Shagg, has been a loyal member of BSH since we opened up shop. His sharp knowledge of the Flyers, both past and present, will be a great asset in helping this site to grow.

We also welcome Ben Rothenberg, commonly referred to as Salmon, who you may know from his work at The Flyer Frequent. Ben has been featured prominently around the hockey blogosphere in the past year and his quick wit and knowledge of the game will bring BSH to another level.

Both writers will be regular contributors to the site and their work will begin showing up in these pages this week.

Also, with the Phantoms leaving Philadelphia, it seems as though it wont be as easy to get news on how our boys on the farm are performing. So with that, we're bringing in Dan Morency, a hockey fan from upstate New York who will be a Phantoms season ticket holder in the fall. He was a fan of the Adirondack Red Wings of the AHL until they left town in 1999, and as you can imagine, he's pumped to have hockey back in his town. Dan will contribute on a semi-regular basis during the hockey season.

I personally couldn't be more excited about what the future holds with these guys in the fold, as the coverage of the Flyers we'll be able to bring you cannot be matched anywhere else among new media. Welcome, guys.

Funny, I was actually going to drop an email to recommend Salmon when you were looking. Love the Flyer Frequent, so I’m glad he’ll be joining here. Congrats to both and to the site.

Aw man this is awesome! The first guy\ that came to mind for this position was Shagg. And now with Salmon joining the team you guys are an all star cast.

Also, really glad to see we are gonna get some steady coverage of our boys up in Glen Falls. Welcome to the crew Dan!

Looking forward to some great Flyers blogging!
