Pronger to Flyers rumors running rampant

As the draft begins here in Montreal, Paul Holmgren is noticeably absent from the Flyers draft table. Reports are running rampant around the draft floor that Anaheim defenseman Chris Pronger could be headed to Philadelphia. There is no real word on who would be going the other way, but among the names mentioned are Joffrey Lupul.

The Flyers would have to deal away a player like Lupul, who has a cap hit of $4.25 million for the next four years, in order to acquire a player like Pronger. Pronger's contract is up following this upcoming season. He'll have a cap hit of $6.25 million.

More to come as it happens...

Hold your horses...

Nothing’s happened yet.
