Martin Biron sez: "If you CAN beat them...
Join them anyway." Apparently one ex-Flyer goalie (Scott Munroe) is not enough for the Islanders. I guess they have three now, if you count Garth Snow.
I think Bruce Boudreau said last year that he was envious of the Flyers' goaltending situation, since they had two good guys like Martin Biron and Antero Niittymaki. It will be interesting to see how Marty and "Frank" do with the Isles and Lightning, respectively.
The question is: Whom do the Isles start when playing the Flyers? If I recall, Biron had a good record against us while he was with Buffalo. Even so, our shooters now know his tendencies better than ever. It should be interesting...

HA
Well, he’ll be a solid #2 for the Islanders. He’s not a number one, as we Philly fans have found out. He’s too inconsistant and gives up too many bad goals. Now we get to beat up on him a couple of times this year. I’ve sure they’re not giving him the 3.5 mil we were. He probably signed for a lot less. I never liked Marty. He dragged himself through the regular season and and played average in the playoffs. He’s nothing special.

Well
He had a good record against us when we didn’t have Danny Briere. Should be interesting to see the old friends playing against each other.

I would gladly trade Emery and $100k to the Isles in exchange for Biron.
It’s a shame he was so terribly led by his former agent, everything would’ve been much better had he agreed to this contract with the Flyers in May.
