Pronger signs 7 year extension, 5 million dollar cap hit

Since the extension was signed before Pronger turns 35 (on October 10th), should Pronger retire before those 7 years, the money will not count against the cap. Also, the 5 million dollar cap hit will not take effect until the 10-11 season.
