Behind Enemy Lines: In Lou We Trust

Martin Brodeur hasn't played yet this season, but that will all change tonight as he and the New Jersey Devils travel down the Turnpike to face off against the Flyers in Philadelphia. The Devils have only played two preseason games thus far, but they've won both, and adding possibly the greatest goaltender in the history of the game to their lineup makes tonight a formidable tune-up test for the orange and black.
While Brodeur is only expected to play the first two periods, but Ray Emery is expected to play the entire game again tonight for the Flyers as he gets ready for the regular season. As for the rest of the lineups, both teams are leaving us in the dark heading into this one. Nobody has posted a lineup as of now, and we're just 75 minutes to game time as I write this, so don't expect anything until the teams hit the ice.
We do expect that Randy Jones will be in the lineup though, and much of the discussion today and over the past few days has been about him. If reports are to be believed, he may be fighting for his job the rest of the preseason. Tonight is a crucial test for him and his chances of being a Flyer past next week.
It's difficult to preview a preseason hockey game when there are no lineups to go off of, so we'll leave the discussion there. Game starts at 7 on Comcast SportsNet in the Delaware Valley. Outside of the region, you can listen online at 610 WIP's website. As always, join us for the discussion right here. Go Flyers.

Just wanted to say, with his job in jeopardy, Jones opens his first shift with a failed clear turnover.

Yeah. Every time I criticize him though, I feel like I’m yelling “You have no leg!” at a cripple. It’s not a surprise, and it’s really just mean.

Just had a lengthy conversation with my toddler son on why it’s not alright to root for the white jerseys tonight. Had to use the Hulk analogy to explain that the Flyers or orange jerseys are the hulk and the Devils are Blonsky. Now he understands.

Well played….The good old Hulk vs Blonsky analogy is always a good choice!

Game was certainly exciting to listen to on 610 WIP
Question: Apparently, Pyorala was wide open when he took his shot. Who on the Devils, would you say, missed their coverage and perhaps should have covered Pyorala?

Minus players for the Devils
Oduya and Greene were the only Devils who finished minus. Seeing as how the Flyers scored their other goal on the power play, they both had to be on the ice in OT. I believe Bergfors was on the ice as well; not sure of the fourth player.
