Citing "NHL sources," Tim Panaccio believes that we may be just days away from witnessing the end of the Randy Jones Experiment (for real this time). These rumblings seem to be picking up steam pretty quickly, and while it seems like Stevens never says anything negative, he's been pretty blunt about Jones' low level of play this preseason.

Losing Jones' high cap hit would put the organization in a much better salary cap situation, making James van Riemsdyk's cap hit a non-issue should he either start the season with the Flyers or be called up mid-way through the year, and allowing for a good deal of additional flexibility for call-ups and trades.
