This is awesome. I would totally watch hours and hours of this on end.
The Daily Forehand -- SB Nation's Tennis Destination.
Broad Street Hockey.
“Eric Lindros looks like he’s definitely going to the Quebec Nordiques.”
Oh, the irony.
Broad Street Hockey - SB Nation's Philadelphia Flyers Blog. Makin' it look mean since 1967.
Whalers, Jets, North Stars, and Nordiques? Oh, those were the days…

I’ll see your intermission report and raise you the first couple seconds of a tribute video played after game 7 against Edmonton.
Wow. Seriously? “Nothing’s gonna stop us now” was the song they chose?

I still remember hearing that song pouring from the rafters of the Spectrum at the beginning of Game 6. Eleven-year-old mikefive liked that song, and loved the Flyers. I still love the Flyers, but Starship has long since lost their luster. I wonder why that is.
Anyway, that playoff year was incredible. If not for losing Tim Kerr after the Islanders series, I stand by my assertion that the Flyers would have won the Cup that year.

Amen! Thirteen-year-old double remembers that year well, and really thought it was our year. I even wrote about it in my freaking diary!
Can you imagine the entries? I was never really like the other girls.
Anywho, you couldn’t escape that song that year. It was from the movie, “Mannequin,” which was a huge hit (why?!?) and filmed in our very own Wanamaker’s in Philadelphia.
I didn’t quite realize it at the time, but that was the year that Dave Poulin became my all-time favorite Flyer. No one has unseated him yet.
I remember Mannequin quite well. I thought it was great. No one else did, though. I still remember the line “The Pharaoh has hemorrhoids!”
