He got good news from the doctor, who said Powe was "good" to go, according to general manager Paul Holmgren on late Friday, but the club won’t know for sure until after Saturday’s practice.
For his part, Powe says he expects to play on Sunday.
"I feel good," he said.

good news
more and more it just seems like the 3rd and 4th lines are the ones that start things off for this team.

I think it just speaks to the Flyers lack of depth on defense. You have a few guys who know their roles and play them well, or at least well enough, to win games. But if one or two of them are out and has to be replaced by an OKT, and the team totally goes to hell. They lose focus, forget the game plan, and the chemistry is gone as a result.
just reminds me back
of the days when we had manderville, otto, etc on the fourth line shutting people down. just feels right.

Am I the only one who finds this to be just a little suspect, given the Flyers’ history of rushing players back, and that it’s apparently the same shoulder Powe’s already injured this year?
Is it reported that it’s the same shoulder? Was it reported that it was his shoulder at all?

In the linked article, Panotch says it’s “believed” to be the same shoulder.

I read that article, posted it, and still missed that. Um, yeah… Thanks, lol.
Yeah, that does concern me though too. I mean if he said right after the game that he felt fine instead of the next day at practice or something it helps quell my fears a little. But just a little.

It could always be something totally minor though, like a dislocated nipple.
