"Guys like Dan Carcillo and Sean Avery, love them or hate them, help to sell and promote the game. Whether or not you agree with Carcillo’s comments, or with Gaborik’s decision to start a fight and subsequently end up losing it, they are events that took place and got tons of attention from the local media of both teams."
-- The Philadelphia Flyers responding to a criticism from ESPN's Pierre LaBrun who thought it was "in poor taste" for the Flyers to post videos of the Carcillo-Gaborik fight on Twitter and Carcillo's "licking his chops" comment.

Not that it really matters much
But that should read “for the Flyers to post videos on Twitter ……”
Proudly supporting a Flyers team with "no honor".
“In poor taste,” please. What do they want the Flyers twitter to post if not Flyers highlights and/or quotes from players? Especially highlights and quotes that received so much mention, even from ESPN of all places. It’s not like anyone who’s behind that twitter skated out to center ice at MSG and spit on their logo….
"He told me, 'Keep your head up.' I didn't realize he meant the whole season."
It also beats the hell out of lying on your Twitter feed, which the Rangers did regarding the same incident.
Broad Street Hockey - SB Nation's Philadelphia Flyers Blog. Makin' it look mean since 1967.
