Guys don't go crazy, but would it be such a bad thing if Johan Backlund was picked up on waivers? Honestly, he gets paid around 900k for the next two years, plus hasn't there been this big commosion saying how we have too many goalies and no where to put them. Nic Riopel seems capable of back-stopping the Phantoms until Michael Leighton returns from inury, meaning Sergei Bobrovsky would likely go to the Phantoms. Not to mention our other goalies in the system such as Brian Stewart, Brad Phillips and Adam Morrison looking for playing time with the Phantoms. This is just my opinion, because personally, I would've not re-signed Backlund to begin with, knowing we had all these other goalies in the system and Leighton and Brian Boucher seemed penciled in as the two goalies with the Flyers. Tell me what you think.
