Carcillo, love him or hate him he's on the team. Like any, there are two sides to this argument and here I present both:
Love him: Dan Carcillo represents the tried-and-true Broad Street style. He hits and fights and scores at times. Hes got hustle, energy, and spirit. A badass. He stands up for himself and his team mates. He doesn't take anything from anybody (though he does seem to catch a lot of grief). Sure he dived once or twice, but doing so for his team. Drawing penalties is what he does. He wears the Goon label with pride, and takes pride in his work ( |m| |m|anyone?)Given time and proper coaching, he could be a star player soon enough. He represents what Broad Street Bullies is all about, grit, toughness, violence, and perseverance. He plays hard, bringing the same consistency to each and every game. He gets the puck to the net and shoots. Plus he has a killer moustache.
Hate Him:Dan Carcillo is a punk. He is a disgrace to the team. He dives and takes stupid penalties. He gave us a huge major last year putting out Bradley. He's like Avery, a smart mouthed and hot tempered. He hurts the team more than helps. He's a waste of roster space, a forward who doesn't contribute to either offense or defense. We would be better off with Nodl. He is a disgrace to the original Broad Street Bullies. He might beat up children he's mentally unstable. He is a bully who cowers out fighting of people his own size. He has no talent except for being refs voodoo dolls and gets called for anything and everything. He should be kicked off the team. And his moustache is lame.
So there you have it. The debate of ages, just above goalies. Personally, I like the man. Which side are you?
