Versus has been pretty solid on analysis tonight, even if it’s pretty simple stuff. At least they’re showing things I didn’t notice the first time.

Like the Flyers’ PK playing entirely passive on that rush.

A) Richards dropped the gloves when there was no chance of a fight as well;

B) Subban was separating Richards from Kostitsyn. He wasn’t jumping in to fight him.

I see it as a little punk who got too hyped up and tried to make himself look big by acting like he’d go when there was absolutely no way anything was going to happen. Didn’t see Richie drop his gloves but I’ll take your word b/c I don’t have DVR. Plus PK punched over top which you say Richie did too, if so, wash, if not PK = bitch.

Well at 3-0 I’m ok with the top line. But 5 and over it’s just poor sportsmen ship. I mean Lavi sends out Carbomb if we’re up big. Unless of course the penalty was deemed as an intent to injure, then all bets are off.

A few things:

1. Price was obviously good tonight, but I didn’t think he was nearly as good as the VS announcers (who were the most annoying I’ve ever heard them, I think) were giving him credit for. The team played great in front of him, and he didn’t have to stop that many difficult shots (that I saw, anyway). Some in close, sure, but we just didn’t get anything all that solid going tonight, regardless of the number of shots. I’ll still predict Montreal will regret giving up Halak, but that’s another story…

2. Of all the places I hate seeing the Flyers play in the NHL, Montreal is the worst. I somewhat admire their passionate fans, but they take it too far. This was a regular season game, and regardless of what happened in the playoffs, the only regular season game that could possibly warrant a rendition of Steam’s most famous song is one eliminating a team from the playoffs. Otherwise, knock it the f off.

3. Next Monday, Subban vs. Richards. Or Kostitsyn vs. Richards. Hockey optional, hah.

by CTFlyer on Nov 16, 2010 9:55 PM EST reply actions

Got to give the Canadians credit. They played a good game. It was Price’s night, no doubt about it. He was superb. You win some you lose some. We’ll get them back at home in a few weeks.

This night just keeps getting better! Creed LIVE! On Palladia!

When I was in college, people used to tell me I looked like Scott Stapp.

No thank you.

No, I had long brown hair and I was clean-shaven. Scott Stapp kinda looked like me when he closed his eyes and leaned back. His nose is bigger than mine, his brow more cro-magnon, and his music far shittier.

I’ve never even heard your music and I know for a fact Creed is shittier. That stuff makes my ears bleed.

In other news, Beatles music finally available on iTunes. I’m sure they’ll find a way to charge more for it, but sweeeeet!

Lex clavatoris designati rescindenda est.

The "Walk Hard" Version:

Dewey Cox: What are y’all doin’ in here?
Sam the Drummer: We’re gettin’ shut out by Carey Price. AND YOU DON’T WANT NO PART O’ THIS SHIT.
