Campbell
First of all son or not…calls on the ice that are made are designed to keep the game safe and fair. Officials are trying to maintain control of a game that could get out of hand at any time. The league, not just Campbell should SUPPORT the refs in their effort to do that. Its MISSING too many calls and not providing efforts to keep a game under control is where a league should step in OR if a ref is providing so many calls that they make you look into the necessity of many of them, especially if they are just destroying the flow of a game.
As for Campbell making rulings on his son’s games, that should’ve been something that was decided when his son became a player…that he should disqualify himself when it came to matters of his son’s games. It seems like this ref got some pretty decent reviews overall and you’re always gonna have someone who from time to time didn’t like the job you did but by and large the refs do a decent job.
God Bless The Flyers
My understanding was they put procedures in place to remove him from possible bias toward his son. Others would review officiating of his son and the team.
That said, the fact (that has been mentioned in several articles these past few days) is that only Campbell understands how they’re dispensing discipline. That and his ridiculous biases toward some players and teams.

Tough lil girl! Good job being brave…kudos to you and both teams for being so kind to her. Get back in the stands as soon as possible, the team needs more tough fans like you!

Going to NYC today :)
Hoping to drown my Carcillo and last nights loss sorrow in Poptart World
Let's do it again
Ha – ha. Had to look up Pop Tarts World. Sound great. I was pretty psyched when I wen to the Hershey factory tour at Hersheypark and found more flavors of Twizzlers than I had ever seen in my life!
Sarauj, Latvija!
He doesn’t work for the park or in chocolate world, he works in a call center where he takes reservations and such….right, hartmanzord?

I thought that the goalie (Price) made some stops that were amazing and that a few calls went against the Flyers that cost them dearly. The “slash” on Carle before the 1-handed clear off the ice by Pronger. Bad timing. Also the elbow call on Powe that clearly had no elbow. If the guy had his helmet buckled on, he would not have been hurt! Anyway, they still played well, just didn’t score and that is hockey sometimes!
Phigment
Not only was the Carle call weak, but im pretty sure the Pronger clear hit another stick.

JVR appeared to have been tripped into Price on the interference call by Gill. This also explains why Gill didn’t reven give jvr a face wash after he flattened price.

There were several bad calls last night. Powe’s elbowing call was not good. It’s just not a call they make most of the time.

It’s because it’s in French. Nobody understands what is going on. :-p
Lightning strikes once, Hextall strikes twice!
Nahh, Its cause if they didn’t get the calls, They would riot in the streets.

I remember the playoffs last year. They riot when they DO get the calls too.

In case anyone didn't know...
The dude who writes “Habs Eyes on the Prize” is a whiny little turd. I mean, he’s a Canadiens fan, so calling him a whiny little turd is somewhat redundant, but I just want to point that out.
He seriously used the phrase, “dastardly reputation” in his writeup. Luckily for the internet, it looks like there’s only about 5 people that read his blog on a consistent basis.
Dastardly reputation? Who uses the term dastardly anymore? Sheesh. No wonder nobody reads that blog.

They’re all a bunch of whiny bastards over there, writers and people commenting alike. It was clearly obvious that Powe didn’t elbow and they still cry about it like he flew in there, elbow-a-blazin’! And then they go on about “How can they (us) miss this out and out viciousness and not think the penalties are deserved! They see what they want to see!” Pot, kettle, checkmate…And then they call Kostitsyn’s hit on Richards a “tap to the ribs”, but that looked an awful lot like a kidney shot to me…what a bunch of whiny female dogs…I can’t wait til Monday-I hope the Flyers dismantle them and give their fans something to cry about. Hell, maybe they’ll even riot again…retards.
oh yeah /endrant
All 3 comments over there made me go “are you effing kidding?!” at one point. Particularly loved how we went to our old bag of tricks and pulled our run the goalie when you’re not scoring. Yup. JVR looked for that stick to trip on just so he could get a piece of price on his way down and not get called. Little did he know in Montreal everyone wheres rouge colored glasses.

Hating to Lose
Despite the loss the game reminded me so much of the Flyers hockey I loved growing up. MTL might have won the war but the Flyers won the battle. The Flyers didn’t just go through the motions and get off the ice as quick as possible and take the loss with a can’t win them all attitude no big deal that’s hockey. The Flyers took the body and took it often in the 3rd and scraped and punched and got chippy after the whistles. Old Time Hockey, were going down but we aren’t going down without a fight. Like Ron Hextall said The Flyers have a long standing tradition of hating to lose more than they love to win. I hope the young leaders on this team have finally adopted that attitude.
Richards blasts Subban, Hartnell choked?
