In my daily web browsing I came across NHL.com's generic team statistics and was shocked to see how the Flyers are dominating the NHL.
Wins- 1, 22 (Were Really Good)
Losses- 1, 7 (Were Really Good)
OTL- 5, T3 (2-5 in overtime, as good as we are in regulation, were that bad in the extra session.)
P- 49, 1(Were Really Good)
P%- .721, 1(Were Really Good)
Goals/Game- 3.41, 2 (Colorado is at 3.62 but their GA/G is 3.32)
GA/Game- 2.32, 4 (Bos/Atl/Nash are 2.57, 2.66, 2.54 GF/G)
5-5 Goal ratio- 1.67:1, 1 (next closest: 1.42 and 1.28)
PP- 16.8, 16
PK- 82.8, 12
SOG/G- 33.4- 3
SA/G- 29.2- 13 (An astounding 13th place in this category but 4th place in GA/G. It says one of two things: 1. Our goalies are playing amazing. 2. Their shots are poor quality.)
Score 1st W%- .789, 10
Trial 1st W%- .467, 4 (This team can play with the lead better than 2/3's of the league, and can come from behind with the best of them)
Lead After 1 W%- .929, 2
Lead After 2 W%- .905, 14 (This is the only number that concerns me due to the higher 1st period percentage. Still good, but if we want to be "elite" we need to be better than average at closing out games)
Out Shoot Opponent W%- .526, 10
Out Shot By Opponent W%- .786, 3
FO %- 49.8, 17
Home PP%- 16.8%, 23
Away PP%- 16.7, 15
Anything stand out to you guys?
