I love this quote
“And if I’m not smiling he’ll go, ‘Jeff, what’s the matter? You OK? Happy, happy?’” Reese said with a grin. “Because it seems like he’s always happy. He’s having the time of his life and he’s an absolute pleasure to work with. He loves to be at the rink and loves to work and that’s exciting for me.”
I find it a little strange to think of a hockey player as adorable but I read stuff like this and I can’t help myself.
I want to adopt Bobrovsky and make him mine. He is adorible. What is this from? I want to continue reading

Just what I always wanted. My own little goalie. I will name him Bob, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him and pat him and pet him and rub him and caress him and…
Honor is no substitute for victory.
That went horribly wrong towards the end

I’m glad he’s a happy guy and that Jeff Reese says he’s a pleasure to work with. Every time I read an article on Bob i just can’t help but smile myself. This kid has his head on straight and seems to have the right mindset for the goaltender position and playing in Philly. I don’t think that he can be rattled at all and everything I read just makes me think that he is the one we’ve been waiting for these last 20 years.

Good bye #12, you will always bleed Orange and Black.
To be cynical, Bobs is a rookie goalie doing incredibly well in general. He hasn’t had the opportunity to become jaded or to become an egotistical jackass. He’s entirely untested and I hope he keeps his spirit and happy personality, but no one can know after only a quarter of a single season whether he’ll change or not.
I do hope he doesn’t. Because I love Bobs. But better to make note now that we don’t know if he can or can’t be rattled because we don’t have enough data to test.

Right, that’s totally true, and I’m really hoping that nothing happens to change my mind about it. But I guess in a way I’m saying I’m glad that the way it’s going as of now everything is on the right track. If fame doesn’t go to his head I think he’ll be fine.

He’s the same age as my youngest son (22). I can’t help but make comparisons.
Son is a jobless high school drop out, a drug addict living who knows where anymore and this young man we call Bob is living in a foreign country, is a professional athlete in top physical form, is caring and kind and pleasant to be around. He knows his priorities, keeps a level head and is good at his job but humble enough to realize that he always needs to work on his game, keep improving.
Wow!
