There are two reasons why the lines looked better. First they are better balanced in this new configuration. Second, Jody Shelley was only seen in the press box!!

Who the hell edited those highlights? Right in the middle there is a min long reel of everyone waiting on the refs to decide if hartnell’s goal was good. What are highlights for? They’re supposed to cut out that boring bs.

I didn’t see the game so can someone explain to me the Z situation in the second period. He takes a roughing, like everyone else on our team does at times, but only he gets nixed an entire period? Did he do something really stupid? I really hate how Lavy manages him because it’s definitely unequal.

I have to agree with you about unequal treatment. But I think that’s because the coaches are asking him to be someone he’s not, and disappointed that he can’t/won’t do it.

I definitely agree that he’s getting unequal treatment, but I kinda wonder if he’s doing something we don’t see that’s making him deserve it. If he’s being uncooperative in the locker room or mailing it in at practice or something. Obviously we wouldn’t see some of that stuff, so it might be happening but it just as easily might not be the case.

That’s definitely possible.

Good interview with Reese about Bob from Panotch. You don’t want to overreact as a fan at a situation like this, but you can’t help but begin to worry that their handling of this situation is going to affect the guy’s mental state…

The Flyers mishandling a goaltender? Never!

I don't know what the fans do to create that much more volume and excitement in the stadium, but it's definitely something extra [in Philadelphia]. They're passionate fans. They understand what's going on. They don't need a teleprompter to tell them to get up and cheer. -Cliff Lee

Shelly-Carcillo

Why did we get and continue to play Shelly ?Don’t give me that heavyweight fighter excuse !Most of those fights are staged early in a game and then the 2 players are hardly seen again.( mainly because like Shelly they have little to offer as a hockey player) Not to mention how is Shelly sending a message if he is not going to be on the ice and only fights goons anyway.Carcillo has real hockey skills and certainly earned the right to be on the ice and get some real time from the way he played last year. Like Carbomb or not The Flyers seem to play harder and with more fire when Dan gets regular ice time. It seems Lavy has a dislike for Carcillo so as a Flyers fan but also a Carcillo fan I say trade him to a team that will appreciate him and let him continue to develope as a player.( he is just 26 years old ) I bet the Flyers only move him way out west so they rarely have to play him.Go Flyers !! Carcillo rocks !!
