I would trade Carle for Kaberle and hopefully a 2nd round draft pick (though I’m not sure Toronto has one).

Even if they do, they don’t have a first rounder so I’m not sure they’d be crazy enough to trade their second away.

I thought Carle was under contract for two more years, not one more. Thats not worth a 2nd because he goes UFA.

It’d be a straight up deal.

I am not big on Kaberle. Maybe my perception of him is wrong, but I never got the sense that his defense was very good.
