Nick Boynton placed on waivers

He's got a $1.5m cap hit.

Demote Syvret, waive OKT, that clears $1.1m in cap space, and claim Boynton.

He's an above average defensive defenseman, mediocre offensive ability. He skates well, plays physical (perhaps too physical) and has a heavy shot from the point.

Statistically, he was sixth best on Anaheim in GAOI/60. His qualcomp was .003 and qualteam is (-.007).

someone do the thinking for me, since it’s early and I’ve only had one cup of coffee so far….Would this make trading Coburn along with a Forward for Kovy a more attractive option? Would this keep us under the cap?

Trade Gagne, Coburn and their pick of maroon or masomatu for Kovie, then sign Boyton to replace Coburn. hey if Brian Burke can be a crook why cant Homer….
