The Pens penalty thing is beyond reasonable explanation. Do I think Bettman has put the fix in? No. I do think the Golden Boy marketing push has had an effect on the refs, though, which is shameful.

Going to be watching the Flyers tonight (and pulling for them). This game is going be be a frigging dogfight.

I love conspiracy's

More importantly in this Pens conspiracy is the order of the penalties it seems like in every game we played against them this year. The Pens get the 1st 3 – 4 PPs and allowed to stay in the game or tie it up after we score. It also seems the Pens will get a PP in the last 5 minutes of the game if they are trailing to get a chance to tie it up or even in OT to get the advantage there as well it is total bullshit. The Pens played in tons of OT and SO’s this year getting many points because the league always give them the chance at the end of the game to tie or win or in OT to get the 2 points. Plus with Crosby, Malkin and Fleury they are unbeatable in the shootout. When the have the big lead after all the early PPs then the refs will call a bunch of nothing on the Pens to make the stat line look better but at that point the game is already over. And if all the penalties don’t help matter they can always take a couple of goals of the board to keep it close.
