You guys aren't even my team
(though you are my #2 of the final four) and I had chills before the damn thing even loaded. Well done.
Watch it with the jinxing!
Time for some thrillin' heroics!
I can’t stop smiling! :)
Let’s hope the smile gets even wider tomorrow night.

That is an amazing clip.
Who is that right in front of Laviolette just standing there with a shit-eating grin on his face as the guys start pouring on the ice?

You mean the bald guy standing to Peter’s left? Kevin McCarthy – defense coach (who was drafted by the Flyers in 1979, actually). Laviolette brought McCarthy from Carolina when Homer hired him.
No, the guy in between the camera and Laviolette
The bench clears except for two Flyers’ players. At nineteen or twenty seconds into the video (the best stills) you can see them clearly – The bench is clearing, Lavvy with his arms up is jumping, and silhouetted against his dark jacket is a Flyer just standing there grinning (looking at the other guy who doesn’t go onto the ice, who is behind the post).

Got it
It’s Ville Leino standing there grinning at Blair Betts while the rest of the bench rushes Leighton.

Who was the Bruin in tears at the end of their bench?

I think it’s Ryder, but I can’t make out the second number…

i'm in that video
night before the game my brother and i were sitting up sipping a few beers, talking about the ultimate best-case scenario for friday.
i topped the convo by saying "they do one of those history will be made commercials where the first shot is the flyers rushing leighton and going nuts. then it goes in slow-mo reverse and ends with the bench going crazy, with the final camera shot focusing on the 2 of us right behind the bench. 2 dots of orange surrounded by yellow. as it fades out it says something like “what if the fans didn’t believe?”
corny i know. and when i told my coworkers on friday about it they all laughed.
but at the end of that shot, there we are, the 2 guys jumping up and down as the bench spills over the boards. unbelievable night. UNREAL.

Great commercial but it’s really a shame, because as I said last night, the NHL chose the theme and the Flyers provided the video. There are great plays every year in the playoffs, some records maybe and we all love watching and rehashing them time and time again.
BUT since it is only the 3rd time that’s ever happened that should state (as the CSN video did) “History HAS been made”.
Im betting they are going to use the “History HAS been made” as soon as the team wins the cup this year.

That’s what I’ve thought, as well. Damn good marketing campaign, if you ask me (especially since this year’s playoffs have been top-notch). Hopefully they don’t overdo it by using it for the next five years.
The NBA’s playoff slogan is “Where ______ Happens” and they fill the blank with various things. Currently I think the blank is “amazing”
Should be “lack of heart.”

I stayed up all night and CSN actually aired a their own version of the history will be made thing kinda like what you said, I’ve been looking for it on YouTube but no one has posted it, it goes like this, It showed Ganges goal and then said “what if Philly gave up after game three, history will be made, history has been made.”

My favorite part of this is all the crap getting thrown on the ice going back into the stands!

I’ve long since lost track of how many time I’ve watched this clip (gotta be 50), and I swear it gets better with every playing. For as long as there is youtube this will always be good for a lump in my throat. What a terrific cast, and an amazing story.
My life as a Flyers fan is complete, and the best part is that this chapter isn’t yet over.
