No offense but honestly what choice does Lavi have? Our lines are in disarray because so many guys are hurt. Our best players are getting so many minutes that they can’t be out there for 5 straight…maybe Lavi could have used his better players less in the beginning of the 3rd but, I don’t know. I just feel like there isn’t that much of a choice really.

I don’t blame it on him. Those guys have to get out there at some point. Laviolette has to try and sneak them out there every once in a while … unfortunately the Bruins were able to take advantage of that.
I just dont like the Krajicek,Parent pair….we don’t even play Nodl or Ross…might as well bring up Bartulis to play ..not that he is great but maybe he has Lavy’s trust I dunno

So what’s your point? I’m saying that if a guy is on the roster that you aren’t going to use why is he even there. Its different during the season, this is the playoffs you cant just fill a roster spot with someone who’s going to ride the pine.
I’m not exactly JVR’s greatest champion here, but at least he was still fighting hard when the rest of the team was gassed. When the team looks the way they did tonight, I have to respect that he was one of the guys still attacking, even if the execution wasn’t exactly there. I’m not saying he didn’t make mistakes, just that I’m recognizing that he did do something positive too.

well they have to use JVR at this point, though they shouldn’t have increased the his load from 40 college games to 80 NHL games…that’s bad. But he has had more experience than Nodl so maybe that’s better
It’s not like Nodl’s never been up before though, I’m willing to trust Nodl with more than 5 minutes. I’m not saying give him 20 or anything, but he’s surely qualified for at least 10. And every minute the top guys can catch a breather is necessary at this point.

He played fine in Game 1 while getting nearly 20 minutes of ice time. Tonight, his ice time is cut to under 13 minutes. How are these guys supposed to get in a rhythm?
As far as Nodl goes, I think he deserves more than 4 minutes of ice time a game.

Here's hoping for a turn of the tide.
Losing by one goal twice, during bad play, may just ratcheting it up a notch and editing out stupid mistakes to get past Boston. Regardless, it’s home ice for the first time in a while – that alone couldn’t hurt in the least.

Still not scared of the Bruins. Sorry. Maybe I should be, but with the way the Flyers have played, they should have beaten them by much, much more. It’s still anyone’s series, IMO. Now, next round, either team is going to get blasted.

To me they just look beaten already. It’s not so much that the Bruins are this awesome team, it’s just that the Flyers don’t match up well and it shows.

I do not have a stat sheet in front of me, but Game 1 seemed like it was a closer game than this one was. We did have that slow start in the 1st from the plethora of rest, but other than that, I feel like we outplayed them for a good part of that game.
This, on the other hand, the Flyers were lucky to be as close as they were in this game. The Flyers do have to turn it around and win the next 2 games.

Not the best goal for Boosh to let in but basically the whole night there were lapses all over. I can’t / don’t want to remember exactly the circumstances of the goal but let’s chalk it up to a team effort.

Betts was coming from the other side of the ice from what I saw. For him to get there he would have had to have dove (putting himself out of the play) or been superman. As far as Boucher goes, it was another shot open in the slot. It appeared there was at least some form of a screen set up be it by the bruins forecheck or the flyers defense trying to get in the way of the shot, it did not appear that boosh saw this one until it was past him. Not sure about Asham, dont remember the whole play.
Ok, I was just wondering what everybody else thought.
I rewound my DVR and concluded that Arron Asham was to blame. He was so incredibly far out of position, that Betts rotated to cover the point. Asham never picked up his man in the slot, and Betts couldn’t get there in time – he had to abandon his man to move on the goal scorer.
While I blame Asham, I still think Boucher should have had that. Tough save, for sure – open shot in the slot – but it was along the ice, five hole. Asham is to blame, but it wasn’t an unstoppable shot.
