Carcillo, Bartulis in, JVR, Parent out for Game 2

Ch-ch-ch-changes. Dan Carcillo will replace James van Riemsdyk in the lineup tonight, according to the tweet by Anthony SanFilippo linked above. On defense, Ryan Parent will sit in favor of Oskars Bartulis, according to Sam Carchidi.

Still Unconfirmed

Carcillo talks as if he’s in. His teammates say he’s in, but Laviolette won’t confirm.

I have to admit that he wasn’t particularly impressive, but I also don’t remember his playing as being absolutely god-awful either.

Still, the fact that he didn’t stand out at all positively must be at least part of the reason he’s not playing. Carcillo should be a help tonight – let’s hope he is. (Bartulis for Parent is DEFINITELY a big step up.)

Anyone not named Cote for Parent is a big step up.

JVR was finally producing…albeit not great but doing something and he get’s benched. I almost feel bad for him. Oh well. Hopefully Carbomb can provide something of value for us.

Im guessing the pressure of the Cup finals AND the internal pressure of being compared with Kane make it tough for the kid.
Sitting a game will help him put everything in perspective.
Also It give Lavy a choke collar for Carcillo. If Carbomb cant control himself, by taking stupid penalties, or diving all over the place, he call easily call JVR back up next game.
Its a good way to manage the minds of the younger players.

Haha that is funny. I wait tables at a nice restaurant in Florida and just last night I waited on a family from Philadelphia who, in conversation I found out, lives across the street from Oskars and his family (previously Nittymaki’s house) and this old man was telling me how hot Oskars wife was and how he is pumpin out little children. lol thought it was funny cause when he told me the story I was wondering if Bartulis would ever play in the cup.
