10 games is in the CBA dealing with “years played”, so that’s probably part of the confusion

Pilgrim: Be gone pest, and give me the Bird
Yakko: We'd love to but the FOX censors wouldn't allow it
He was in the center of a Flyer triangle. No one was challenging Carle, no one was covering Asham, and Giroux was alone in front.
Not only was Keith “out of position”, so was every single Blackhawk

I just reposted it so somebody (you) could see it better. But he should have taken the pass, not challenged the shot
Pilgrim: Be gone pest, and give me the Bird
Yakko: We'd love to but the FOX censors wouldn't allow it
Which pass?
No matter what he did, he was giving up a scoring chance. You can’t point to that goal and say “Duncan Keith is to blame.” He was put in a position where he was the only guy who could challenge the puck carrier. If he covered the pass, Carle can move in. Or pass to Asham. Or shoot.
He’s in a lose-lose-lose. It’s not evidence of anything but a poor line-change by the Hawks.

Take Giroux, Asham is off to the side, and is the weaker threat. And you alwayd let the goalie take the shot, if you ever see any odd man rush, you see the defender take away the pass to let the player take the shot. its one of the first things I learned playing defense.

3-1 from Carel, 4-2 from the blue line. sounds like an odd man rush to me
Pilgrim: Be gone pest, and give me the Bird
Yakko: We'd love to but the FOX censors wouldn't allow it
haha, if you say so. Typically, an odd-man rush involves the defender knowing how many options the player has. In other words, the play is in front of him. When the play is behind Keith, it’s tough to say it’s an odd-man rush from his perspective.
Bolland and Seabrook are 2-on-2 against Briere and Giroux. Keith is 1-on-2 against Carle and Asham, with two passes.
You’ve effectively blamed him for a goal that was scored off, what you call an odd-man rush, a bad line change, with Dave Bolland attacking a puck-carrier already covered, and Brent Seabrook not moving off of Briere (who Bolland mistakenly switched to) onto covering Giroux. I wonder if Keith saw that Bolland and Seabrook screwed up the coverage.
But yeah, he didn’t take away one of the three options Carle had.

I didn’t think too much of it for games 1 and 2, but game 3 too! So, nope, I’ll be listening from the other room on Friday :|

i posted it above, but it was in the middle of of all the “woooooos”.
Pilgrim: Be gone pest, and give me the Bird
Yakko: We'd love to but the FOX censors wouldn't allow it
And as I said above, he was in the middle of three Flyers. Every Blackhawk was out of position as well.

What if Giroux wasn’t great?
So this is interesting… the Flyers gear I found on a clearance rack the night before the pickup game is now a combined 7-0 for playoff games. Wow.
Apparently! They were, at the time, dumping everything that had a winter classic logo on it, so I ended up with a 1 T-shirt that’s 1-0, another that’s 4-0, and a Richie WC jersey that’s 2-0. All for like, 35 bucks. Crazy!

that’s why I’m strutting Phillies championship gear even though they ought to be renamed TEAM SLUMPAPOTAMUS right now
S’ok. It’s just funny, because everything I bought that night I brought with me to the pickup game, so it got all charged up with positive BSH energy. Collective good karma, perhaps.

Honest to god, even if we lose this series, these games have been fantastic and ridiculous. Greatest hockey I’ve seen for the ultimate prize. This is truly amazing!!!

Dear Scott Hartnell,
I did not realize your plan was to suck until the Flyers faced elimination and then become Gordie Howe. I’m sorry I doubted you.

So, this whole “breathing” thing is a nice change of pace for the evening. Anyone else tasting the fresh night air for the first time in 3 hours?
