Around SBN: Dissecting Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

"They called me the Geico man, a bunch of different nicknames. I guess it's my trademark now. I don't have any plans to cut it soon. When I do it, I want to do it for a good cause -- locks of love or something like that."

How much longer can it get before it starts running down his jersey? I bet it wouldn’t feel good if someone’s stick got caught up in that mop and took Hartnell to the ice.

Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.

Give Brendon Witt a call. His hair damn near covers his nameplate.

One more reason to dislike Brendon Witt.

I did Locks of Love once. I had serious Hartnell hair, except it was a lot straighter.

I am assuming he has to get permission from the League to have hair that long, and obviously they gave it to him.

Mike Commodore’s hair is much longer but it doesn’t look it.

Then I assume both of them have to get permission from the NHL to have long hair

Regardless of how he did on the ice this year… Hartnell does a lot of good things for Philadelphia. Love for Locks would be awesome to do, but then I’d want him to grow it long again! =)

The best nickname for him is Wookie.

It Pittsburgh he is fondly known as Fartsmell

I really admire how Hartnell responds to the title

I can understand that. I’ll be interested to see which Hartsy shows up for the 2010-2011 season. Let’s hope it’s the one deserving of his ridiculous hair.

Actually Scotty your wrong!

Your trademark isn’t your hair!
It is taking a lot of stupid penalties.
…..not to mention falling down a lot! (which is kind of funny and endearing)
But its the penalties that kill us!!!
