Let’s have two outdoor games and ruin it, good idea Gary, much like many of your others

by JerseyDriver on Jun 4, 2010 9:07 PM EDT reply actions

Let’s have EVERY TEAM play an outdoor game at some point. If they can play Washington or Pittsburgh in those games, even better.

by The DTrain on Jun 4, 2010 9:08 PM EDT up reply actions

Well, obviously, Wash and Pitt will be in it every year.

by JerseyDriver on Jun 4, 2010 9:08 PM EDT up reply actions

No, I mean we should have all 30 teams play in the Winter Classic EVERY YEAR.

14 teams will play one each against Washington.
14 teams will play one each against Pittsburgh.
Then Washington and Pittsburgh will play one more against each other.

BRILLIANT!

by JLS89 on Jun 4, 2010 9:07 PM EDT reply actions

Thinking about it… how much does Bettman owe the Flyers?

Between giving us a great Winter Classic, the amazing Boston series, and now these finals, the Flyers are doing a lot for the league.

My fiance normally has a goatee, and tried to grow a playoff beard; but then figured out they lose if he doesn’t shave and win on the days he shaves. Needless to say he’s not growing a beard now

by DragonGirl0583 on Jun 4, 2010 9:14 PM EDT up reply actions

I actually didn’t try to grow one on purpose, but I didn’t shave the last game of the season, and then went out of town and forgot a razor so I had to grow it out for a few days…and by the time I realized it we were up 2-1 vs the Devils and I wasn’t about to mess with the mojo.

This was posted in the 1st thread, figured I’d bring it here.

LUCKY!!!
You guys are so lucky you drew a choking loser Chicago team in the Finals. They are always good for one thing, getting your hopes up and breaking your heart!!

Hawks 50 years without a cup (longest streak in NHL)
Cubs 102 years without a WS (longest streak in professional sports)
Bears 1 title in the last 47 years
Bulls have done nothing of significance without Michael Jordan on the team.

Congrats on the Cup. I hope you guys finish off the Hawks in Philly so you can celebrate with the fans.
