"Obviously, I will spending a lot of hours in the gym trying to strengthen my knee and the rest of my body. A lot of times when you hurt your knee you walk different and you hurt your back or you hurt your other knee because you are loading that up more. It is really about your body becoming symmetrical again and you’re not overtaxing any one part of your body.
I hope to be in the lineup . . .but it is still very early on in the process to begin guessing on a time frame. A lot can happen over the next few weeks and months but absolutely that is one of the goals."

Am I the only one uncomfortable with the fact that this “minor” surgery is now being talked about in terms of MONTHS of recovery.

I don’t know if knee surgery is ever minor in hockey players.

Well no matter what kind of knee surgery you have it is always going to take some time to recover. I tore my meniscus and I’m 3 weeks into my 2 month recovery time until I’m even able to walk..and as far as knee surgery goes that is pretty minor. I think Prongs will be alright, and besides he’s one of the tougher guys that could get through this kinda thing.
i can relate. one year after i injured my back, and the compensation effects linger.

This is exactly why we want Chris to take his time. I’m ok with Thanksgiving (Canada or US works).
Raul Ibanez: since Moyer is on the DL, he is fast becoming our favorite old guy.
