played parts of 3 seasons 96-98, spent alot of time going back and forth with Phantoms, only played 79 games with the Flyguys

The NHL 11 demo is out today on Xbox Live
… and the Flyers won the Stanley Cup on account of Giroux scoring the game winner in OT on my TV screen this morning. First impressions are that this game is super awesome.
I love the Flyers so much I even went to Bobby Clarke Day Camp.
Supposed to be out on PS3 today too, cant wait to get home and download it!

they still make Gagne super awful in this game too. Kinda disappointed in that. Other then that, everyone seems to be pretty good. I’ve noticed Lenio cant pass, Kimmo is super slow for some reason, and Leighton cant move from pipe to pipe fast. few minor gripes.

I just plain suck playing with the Flyers. I didnt like them last year, and In two games with them, I just cant win, but I scored 4 3rd period goals with Chi in the game I played with them haha.

Haha no, The first one was (It was a botched play that just went through the pads, very weak goal on Leighton) and the others were odd man rushes(two off one timer passes, and another that I wrapped around and snuck the puck between the pipe and Leights.) I cant play with any Flyer, the only players Im good with are Carter and Briere.

So can you still dominate the game by just skating down the wing and waiting for your other guy to go to the middle, throw it to him and take a one-timer, scoring every single time?

Hehehe, I still do this all the time in NHL06 (the latest one I have…). But I try to be good and save it for when I totally botch up things on defense and need to get back in the game.

Random question:
Does anybody know how to control the goalie in NHL06? Everytime I have a game go to the shootout, I get killed because it goes to manual goalie and I can’t figure out how to make him do anything… :-p

not sure about ’06, but on ’08 for PS3, you just have to use direction stick and hit the square at the right time

Indeed, I am 2 years into a dynasty on ‘08 for PS3…I try to ’make a play’ and only resort to the stick fake/pass to slot/top shelf goal play unless Im getting smoked…

Gagne was the fastest player in 10 by far, I think his speed rating was 94-95. Still waiting on ps3 demo……

I came to the conclusion that I can never play a hockey game with Gagne last year, when he was on the trading block and I got him for a 3rd rounder, he played on the 2nd line for 5 games and sucked ass, played on my first line for 2 games and sucked ass, and then I traded him for a third rounder to Calgary after that.

I suppose I should have prefaced by saying that I did away with the Coyotes and created a team which I filled with players (selecting no players ranked higher than 85, and no more than 4 ranked higher than 81) from the european leagues. I am in 2nd year of dynasty and have almost completely turned the european roster over through a non-stop series of trades. The last of those trades brought me Carter and Ritchie…
It was just a way of making the game interesting again…lol

When I was younger I thought that “Geddy” was short for like “Gedland” or something.
