UPDATE: BSH vs. Japers' and Flyers Prospects Game
We've found out (Thanks to Red Army Line) that the game will be at Kettler Capitals Iceplex at 3 p.m. On ThurFree tickets will be available for fans who RSVP at WashingtonCaps.com starting Wednesday, Sept. 1.
At the last BSH pick-up "game" we kicked around the idea of combining our game against Japer's with a group trip to the Flyers vs. Capitals prospects game. This would mean getting together and carpooling down to Washington as a group. I think it would be a lot of fun, we can all chip in for gas for those that drive.
We believe that the game will be on either the 11th or 18th of September. (I can't find details, if anyone knows when and where it is please post the info in the comments)
So new poll: Who's interested?
On a related note...I think I could get us some jerseys for this game. What would everyone be willing to pay for them and what would you want them to be? (Current orange, old school white, etc.) Just let me know this in the comments, if we get enough interest I can post something else about it with options and such.

I am unfortunately too far away and busy for the next month or so to be able to make a long trip. Maybe I can make one of ours… or make one against ILWT or Blueshirt Banter or Lighthouse Hockey and I can easily make that!!
Even if I am not playing I would be interested in the jersey especially if it’s a special custom BSH jersey (will they also be personalized?). I’m also for the 25-30 range, and I would definitely want to buy one.

Good bye #12, you will always bleed Orange and Black.
I could probably be do the 18th and $25-30 sounds good
Cheers,

Can I ask for those people who said “No”, is it just that you don’t want to drive that far? Because if we carpooled obviously not everyone would have to drive.

Well, is the Jaspers game mixed, or roller only?
Secondly, the idea of cramming a bunch of dudes who’ve done nothing but sweat for 2 hours into a long car drive seems rather unappealing.

For the interest of an actual game I think we should do roller only.
We’d be going to the prospects game after so there’d be time to clean up and reapply deodorant / make ourselves smell better before returning home in cars.

If its skates only, I’m out. I’m only just now learning how to rollerskate. The last thing you guys want is 6 and a half feet, 265 pounds of muscle and beer skating out of control towards one of our more frail players.
Unless it was MarioD. Then you guys would probably pay for that.

If I get the skates I’m in…also I just had an MRI on my right foot today, so my participation would also depend on the results. Who knew that running for 18mi on a nice Sunday morning could be so dangerous.
If I can’t play, I’d still be interested in heading to the game anyway. I could take pictures. And if I play, and DG is going, she can use my set up to take pictures.
Is this the right room for an argument?
I'm shut down
For 2 to 4 weeks with a stress fracture. So I’m out for the game, but I may still be in for trip.

I just got an email. It’s September 16 at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Tickets are free but you have to RSVP. They are up for grabs Sept 1.
Caps Rookies Face Flyers
Sept. 16 at Kettler
Rookie camp opens Sunday, Sept. 12, and ends Thursday, Sept. 16, with a game against the Philadelphia Flyers’ rookies at Kettler Capitals Iceplex at 3 p.m. Free tickets will be available for fans who RSVP at WashingtonCaps.com starting Wednesday, Sept. 1.
The best of the rookie camp participants will be invited to join the veterans for Training Camp, which opens on Saturday, Sept. 18. Like rookie camp, all on-ice workouts at Kettler Capitals Iceplex are free and open to the public. The Caps play their first preseason game on the road at Columbus on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. The Caps come home to play their preseason home opener at Verizon Center on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. against the Boston Bruins.
Don’t forget to check back on WashingtonCaps.com Sept. 1 for rookie game tickets.
A Thursday, ick, that makes a pickup game awfully difficult.
