Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Starting this Monday, August 23, the NHL Network will be re-airing each game in the Flyers-Bruins game. While the OT games may be chopped a bit to fit it in the 2-hour window, all other games will be shown in their entirety.

The schedule is as follows:
Game 1: August 23 @ 6:00
Game 2: August 24 @ 6:00
Game 3: August 25 @ 6:00
Game 4: August 26 @ 6:00
Game 5: August 27 @ 6:00
Game 6: August 29 @ 7:00
Game 7: August 29 @ 9:00

For those who want to do nothing but kick back, relax, and watch history being made for 14 hours straight, on Sunday, August 29, NHL Network will be re-airing Games 1-5 in order starting at 9:00 AM which will directly lead into their 1st showing of Game 6 at 7 and their 1st showing of Game 7 at 9. Because it is the NHL-N, chances are the TSN broadcast will be used for Games 2-7 (which means Pierre), but it is still going to be worth it. My DVR is set!

Damn me for not having the NHL Network!!!! Anyone know where I could maybe find all of these games in their entirety to download? I would love to watch game 7 over and over and over whenever I am bored.

I have the Game 7 saved on my DVR. Never watched it again after July 19. I don’t know if I even ever will.

He was. He was. I have saved more games where he shined, like the game from the end of December when he scored a hat trick against the Rangers. But I kinda… I still cant watch it.

Do you think i would have to re-watch games 1 to 3 to truly appreciate games 4-7?

by Parduno on Aug 22, 2010 9:18 PM EDT reply actions

I guess it all depends on your personal taste. For me, yes. As good as Games 4-7 are in a bubble, watching them right after Games 1-3 where the Bruins got bounce after bounce and in particular in Game 3 where it seemed like that try as they might the Flyers could not solve the Bruins defense for the life of them should make the last 4 games all the more sweeter to watch. But possibly for other people, they can recall the games, remember them well, and do not need to watch them to relive the excitement of the end of the series and feel the accomplishment of the win.

Can you take DVR or Tivo to DVD?

I’m asking because, if someone wants to be nice, they could record it and send it to me? I’ll pay all the shipping etc, it would just take a bit of time I guess.

I don’t know if you can but I still haven’t seen or heard any CSN coverage of game 7, I was in Boston and had to watch Vs in a loud bar. So if anyone was going to do this for Todd, could htey do it for me?

How amazing would it be if the NHL released this entire series on DVD? Packaged with the Versus’ broadcasts, CSN’s, NESN’s, & TSN’s. If only

Through different means, I have copies of 3 of the 4 broadcasts (CSN, NESN, and Versus). The only broadcast I am missing is TSN’s. So even though Pierre McGuire worked the series on TSN, I am hoping that NHL Network uses the TSN broadcasts, especially for Game 7. When NHL Network re-aired the Flyers-Devils series a month or so ago, they used TSN for 4 of the 5 broadcasts. The only exception was Game 4 where they used CSN for some reason.

Thank you, my Bruins series

I will never ever forget this series for a number of reasons. First off, I was able to watch the first three games of this series, and of course we all know the outcome. Then came, my week from hell. Sunday I flew into Dallas for work. Despite being down 3-0 I must have placed 20-25 phone calls to local bars and sports bars to watch the game. Missed game 4 there, flew back home during Game 5. Game 6 I flew down to NC for more work, and a Friday night cut-over (aka, work all night). This is where the beauty ensued.

I am on location in NC to install a phone system. Long story short, we had five technicians on site to help us install and implement. We started working around 6PM. Guess where all the technicians were from? BOSTON! Again, the game started off horribly and the guys were busting my balls hard. We are walking around three different buildings all within a a few miles of each other. Everyone had the game on their cell phones with updates coming in. Needless to say, by about 930 none of them would look at me. I had perma smile on my face all the way up to 230 in the morning when we left for the night, and at 7AM the next morning. I would bet that they still want to punch me in the smiling face.

Ultimately, thanks for the heads up. I missed four games and I am looking forward to watching them.

Hmm…so now we know the secret to success. We just need to get in touch with his boss and make sure he has cut-overs through the entire Stanley Cup Playoffs this season.

I debated not watching some of the finals.

But, I did see every other game of the playoffs. It was a long run for me. I was worn out by the end of it, literally.

I have Comcast and aparrently “on or about August 24th” I will be getting NHL Network, what timing!
