Was watching the "TOP 10 Goals 2009-2010" @ NHL.com and remembered Girouxs amazing goal against the thrashers...since theres nothing else to talk about...does anyone else feel like he got snubbed on that list becuase he is not a household name yet? Here's the link to the NHL top 10 video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adm-HNPnFN0

Might be my favorite of the regular season.

I have mixed feelings about that goal.
It was an awesome goal, in and of itself.
That game, however, was awful. I was there and it was my second least-favorite game that I went to this past season.
My least favorite game was December 21 against the Panthers. Boosh hurt his finger in that game, Leights came in and gave up a couple of softies, and I was absolutely convinced the Flyers were going to miss the playoffs.

Come to think of it, Pronger’s goal against Chicago was my fav of the regular season.

That was an absolutely amazing goal! My fav was Gags’ OT winner against NJ. (I am NOT biased. Not at all.)
I love the Lightning AND the Flyers... go ahead, preach me!
Dare to follow my childish, biased, petty and cheesy alter ego.

Since I just read High Fidelity (finally), here are my top 5 goals of the regular season.
In order for a goal to make this list, it has to count as a goal on a player’s yearly stats. In other words, no shootout goals.
1. Chris Pronger vs. Chicago Blackhawks, 3/13/2010. Flyers win 3-2. No explanation needed.
2. Matt Carle vs. New York Rangers, 4/11/2010. Flyers win, 2-1 in a shootout. Not the prettiest goal of the regular season, but one of the biggest.
3. Danny Briere vs. New York Rangers, 12/30/2009. Flyers win, 6-0. Briere dekes about 3 times with about 2 inches of ice to spare before stuffing the puck past Henrik Lundqvist.
4. Daniel Carcillo vs. Toronto Maple Leafs, 1/6/2010. Flyers win 6-2. You all remember this one.
5. Claude Giroux vs. Atlanta Thrashers, 1/28/2010. Flyers lose 4-3. This goal is detailed above.

And, for the sake of completeness...
… my top 5 playoff goals from this year.
1. Simon Gagne vs. Boston Bruins, 5/14/2010. Flyers win 4-3. Right place, right time, no mistake. Simon helps the Flyers make history.
2. Claude Giroux vs. Chicago Blackhawks, 6/2/2010. Flyers win, 4-3 in OT. Claude gives the Flyers life.
3. Mike Richards vs. Montreal Canadiens, 5/24/2010. Flyers win, 4-2, and advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. Once again, no explanation needed on this one.
4. Daniel Carcillo vs. New Jersey Devils, 4/18/2010. Flyers win, 3-2, in OT. As Tim Saunders said so eloquently, “Carcillo! Carcillo! Dan Carcillo!” I was at the game and that goal was at my end of the ice.
5. Ville Leino vs. Montreal Canadiens, 5/22/2010. Flyers win 3-0. Big Ville Style dekes, falls, and stuffs the puck past Jaroslav Halak. Reminiscent of Danny Briere’s goal against the Rangers (#3 on my Regular Season list).
