Crews laid the ice at the Wells Fargo Center today. CSNPhilly's Sarah Baicker was there and took pictures of the progress and the painting of the Flyers' logo at center ice.

That is pretty cool. Do they paint the logos on and then add another layer of ice over top?

Mourning Gagne forever.
They paint right on the solid concrete on the floor, I believe. The ice goes on afterward.
… I think.

I thought it was more like a 1/2 inch of ice, a coat of white paint, then another 1/2 of ice, then the logos, and then another 1/2 inch or so? I know there’s usually a layer of white between the logos and the floor.
