Congrats Darkside! Just remember when you’re bringing your offspring home from the hospital…get them a Flyers jersey…not a Leafs jersey!

Oh you know it. By the way this is the reason I missed the draft last night. I still have a pretty decent team.

Another brilliant DGB post! It’s a good thing the office is relatively empty this morning, I was laughing so hard. :-p
Lightning strikes once, Hextall strikes twice!
I enjoyed it, except the undeserved shot at Carbomb.

so we all agree that I have the best fantasy team right?
The laws of alchemy dont justify murder........but the laws of murder justify being a cowboys fan :P
I would have the best team, if we were allowed to change the draft time, per established requests
but no, I’ll be starting Ty Conklin and Kari Lehtonen on a daily basis

Could be worse. At least you aren’t minding nets with Tim Thomas and a guy who could start the season in jail.
I’m fairly certain I have the worst goalies in the league, but that’s what happens when you don’t bother pre-ranking b/c you are 100% certain you won’t get an emergency request at work and be stuck in the office all night…oh wait that did happen…awesome
Is this the right room for an argument?
Yeah, me and Fizzy(I thinks its him) are the only people who have 2 full time starters on their team. but I have Quick and briggy, and I took them before round 5, so my offense looks like crap

I’m trying a bunch of waiver moves that will hopefully keep me out of last place. I figured I’ve won if I finish not in last given what I’m starting with.
Is this the right room for an argument?
What team are you?

Get Awesome…you know, the one the the DUIboulin as one of their goaltenders.
Remind me to tell you the story behind that name at the next happy hour.
Is this the right room for an argument?
You’ve got Steve Mason and two stud centers. Plus Wayne Simmonds.

Hey I didn’t say my centers weren’t awesome, I’m more so concerned about the guys minding the pipes. And there is nothing in
You’ve got Steve Masonthat makes me feel any better. Also, I am an official Wayne Simmonds hater; he’s just on the list of guys I don’t enjoy watching in the NHL…that’s not to say he is bad, I just don’t care for the guy. And having no clue what will happen with Souray doesn’t exactly give me goosebumps. If the waivers go through, I’m actually happy with my team. It’s more of a thing where I wouldn’t have picked certain guys in certain spots; just doesn’t feel like my team. But given I don’t like Mason, at all, my other goalie will be behind bars, and my 3rd stringer won’t see much playing time, I reserve my right to complain about the goalie situation.
Is this the right room for an argument?
Check your team

Two things…
1) I can’t take you seriously with that avatar…honestly I almost fell out of my chair at work from laughing.
2) Mason should be the #1 guy in Columbus and Atlanta, so I don’t really want to replace the one with the guy that’s behind the other given that Mason is the only real starter on my team currently.
Though you know me well dangling Voracek like that even though he isn’t as well rounded from a fantasy stand point, I’m oh so tempted to take him.
Is this the right room for an argument?
haha, fair enough. But when/if you want to unload him, know who knows you.
Yes, that sounded pretty creepy. Apologies.

At least you have a starter. If you add up all 3 of the goalies I have, they played a combined 50 NHL games last year. And that’s played, not started, because they only started 38.
I wasn’t home to rank players nor was I home for the draft…. I’ve been at work so much that tonight is the first time I even turned my computer on since Saturday morning. So given the same conditions, where Yahoo picked for us because we didn’t get to rank them, you came out better than I did!
by DragonGirl0583 on Sep 14, 2010 10:55 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah, after I looked through the teams, I felt a lot better about having 1 starter hahaha. At the time I just looked and saw a kid that, in my mind, hasn’t proven anything yet, a guy that will be behind bars, and a guy that saw 2 games last year…so I figured I had to have the worst or one of the worst goalie situations. I didn’t realize so many people missed the draft and didn’t do pre-rankings too.
Is this the right room for an argument?
I ended up with Backstrom and Broduer oh course its the wrong Broduer.

But I got Mike Richards!

Mourning Gagne forever.
Yeah, I’d feel bad for you if it weren’t for your first 3 picks.

Haha yeah, they were decent. I guess someone had to take Crosby

I’m mad I forgot about the damn draft last night, I could have at least drafted Thorton instead of getting.. Duncan Keith………..
My Goalies are Cam Ward, Jason LaBamba and his back up Inigo.
I got Reach today so at least I can be a little bit happy. :P
You ain't a has-been, if you never was.
You don’t want Keith?

It’s not that I don’t want him, I would have definitely drafted Jumbo Joe over him though.
You ain't a has-been, if you never was.
was he available when your pick was up?
The laws of alchemy dont justify murder........but the laws of murder justify being a cowboys fan :P
ahhh, well, there are only a couple good offensive D-men, and a TON of good centers, so I say its the better pick. Hell, I didnt take my first center(I took muller as a LW, not a C, but it worked out for me) until near the end when I took Ott.

Btw, we still need more teams for the BSH’s 3rd league
Greatly appreciated, since we have only 7 teams right now, and draft times are negotiable
league ID:28833
pw: horse
the rules are the same as the other BSH leagues, just want to fill this league up

this whole Zherdev/Guerin thing is getting weird. first Guerin takes his number and now he’s got his locker?
obviously Guerin’s going to be a Flyer and a move will be made to accommodate him, but is Zherdev getting kicked out or what? they said he had visa issues but it’s just weird. I am/was excited about him too.
I doubt Zherdev is getting cut for Guerin. Hes good, but Zherdev is 10x better.

Apparently you aren’t familiar with the rules of dibs
*I didn’t actually read these rules, but I think it’s hilarious ehow has how to follow the rules of dibs on their website.
Is this the right room for an argument?
Eh, maybe they just want Nicky to stay out of the Temple frat parties. Would you bother back-checking if you could coast out your multi-million dollar contract picking up all the tail that Carter leaves in his wake?
How is he not getting the warmest of welcomes? they moved his locker because locker order goes by time with the team (meaning Guerin gets the “new” players locker) and Zherdev willingly moved his number. Zherdev has been 13 and 23 since his Russia days, so I doubt that he cared about the number 9.

Oh this is your payback for all those times you public yelled at me for not linking the comic correctly. Plus I would give you a typo if you transposed the E and I in the right spot…but that wasn’t even close.

I transposed the D and I. Do you think I honestly typed “Kredier” and thought it was accurate?
And yes, Mike better stay ’tween us.

Je m’appelle Kredier (pronounced Kreh-DZIEY).
Mr. Kreider, I need you to move to the open desk near the window. Mr. Detweiler, see me after class.

And just WHAT is so funny, Ms. Cheese? Do you have a joke you’d like to share with the rest of the class?
Honestly, I wasn’t EXACTLY like that as a teacher, but I guess in my own way I was close enough.

Nothing sir, nothing. (muffles a giggle)
What’d you teach?

Yeah it feels good to bring another Flyers fan into the world and hopefully this won’t interupt any future pick up games I could be in.
"All hail the Flyers" Jim Jackson.
Ryan signs for 5.1 over 5 years. Per McKenzie, but I found it at NHL.com.
I can’t believe how bad the Oilers organization is. They totally handled the Souray situation badly. Smacks of the Lindros fiasco. Just awful. And because he didn’t like how he handled a different scenario with a different player he’s going royally SCREW his own team. Way to go Tambellini.
Down Goes Brown was great, except for the Carcillo shot. Did he even watch that game? I remember Carcillo getting attacked not the other way around. Rest was great though.
And YAY! GUERIN! I wonder how this will work out.

Thank you Geoff, for inspiring my photography project. Everyday, the first thing I do when I get into my photography class is check BSH. Today our assignment was to place a picture of somebody somewhere else and add a shadow. My 10 seconds of labor produced:

I titled it “Gagne enjoying his last days of vacation in Florida” I especially like the way it looks like I just ripped a picture out of the newspaper and pasted it on. That’s quality work right there. (Sorry if the image is too large. I’m not sure about what file sizes are acceptable and what not.)
haha, no problem. I was inspired by the talk of Guerin replacing Gagne.

I know it’s late in the day, but just for the record, I’m terribly disappointed the Devils’ fine doesn’t count against the cap. One last bit of CBA magic for Lou, since they’re using their agreement to bend even more rules. Plus there’s that whole part about getting to choose after the SC finals which year they’re giving up the first round pick. So they get to see how far they get into the playoffs each year, and wait until they have a really low pick, and then go “okay this year we don’t need it”. Crazy, but I’m not surprised. /Sighs
