How do you treat a long lost Brother?
Does everyone remember the story of the prodigal's sun? For those who don't go take a look at the wiki shortened version. This story reminds me of a Bully by birth playing on the other side of the state, one Eric Tangradi. At 6'4 220, a solid pair of hands, and an attitude that was crafted to be a Flyer, he will be suiting up to be a (drumroll please) a Pittsburgh Penguin.
So the question I have for the masses...are you a fan of the man because of where he is from, regardless of the team he plays for, or does the team he plays for turn you away from him? I for one will be watching Pens because I care more about him being a Philly product, and that there aren't too many professional ice hockey players to come out of Philadelphia

For me personally, its more like hoping he does well individually, but not rooting for his team since it’s a division rival and all. We know a player who plays for a rival team in a different sport, and we’ll boo the heck out of his team but hope for him to do well… it’s odd, I know, but I think the way people approach these situations is very much an individual thing. I tend to have a soft spot for the local guys, just like you seem to, but it’s still too much of a stretch to actually root for his team unless I’ve got a very particular attachment to the player.
I’ll echo everyone’s sentiment: Wish him well, but hope he’s not playing hockey on April 20th.

Gotta root for hometown kids
And in this case, he played for the Jr Flyers, where my younger brother is a coach. I don’t know if he coached Tangradi or not, but it’s a nice thing to see players from the tri-state area making it into the NHL.
Love to see him light it up in the NHL, just not against the Flyers.
