I kinda liked the Buffaslug … the new Buffalo jerseys are… I don’t know. Don’t affect me much.

They take me to a time where I poured hatred for that team. It was a pretty bad area for me, I used to sit in a dark room and rewatch Leclair scoring through the side of the net as I cry myself to sleep. But I do like the old jersey style.

Something about just writing out your team or city name on the front of a hockey jersey seems wrong to me. I mean are they playing baseball now? Not to mention the ugly double stripe. Not a fan of the new jerseys in the least.

Nope. Love the color and the design but the crest is just lame.

I would rather they have gone back to the crest, in this particular case*, but it’s actually the first time I haven’t liked a spelled-out jersey. I think they are classy, simple, and hard to fuck up. But I understand how a design guy wants a little more there.

*the disclaimer here being that if Buffalo loses the Bills, they’ll need all the civic pride they can muster out of the Sabres.

The third jersey is a throwback to the Buffalo Bisons, the AHL team they had in the 40s. I’m not terribly against the jersey, but it does seem to be missing something.

The away jersey really is too loud for me with the extra piping. Its there to match the home jersey’s piping but on a white jersey its a little too much.

That Pronger video is too funny, but boy could he skate back in the day. No wonder he won the Hart imagine if Prongs was one of the fastest players on the ice now, it’d be insanity.
