Interview with Peter Laviolette on Local Sports Radio

Today at around 3:30pm FLYERS Head Coach Peter Laviolette was on a CERTAIN FM Radio station for an interview. I am not sure if I can mention the name of the Radio station because of Infringement rights and stuff but its a Sports radio station on the FM Dial, Which pretty much narrows the field down to ONE STATION.

ANYWAYS - he brought up some interesting comments and statements.

First thing he did was RIPP into the Local Sports Radio Station that for the past 4 months the FLYERS have been up in the TOP 5 of the ENTIRE LEAGUE and they local sports radio stations all have not even given the FLYERS any SNIFF of P.R. or discussions or anything

WAY TO GO LAVY !

Let them Know that its called SPORTS Radio for a reason and not ALL EAGLES ALL DAY ALL NIGHT Radio !

I was enjoying listening to the local Radio station host Squirm and wiggle in his seat feeling uncomfortable with the whole Idea that he was put in a difficult situation. If he agrees he just bites the hand that feeds him in the Marketing and Production Department's daily ALL EAGLES ALL DAY ALL NIGHT program lineup. If he disagrees he then pretty much looks like a DOPE because Laviolette pretty much pointed out that they have been the top 5 in the entire NHL since the start of the season and the radio host would just look foolish denying that.

Then Laviolette was talking about Avery and pretty much did the whole Cliche answers and like a Bobrovsky on the ice just deflected those shots to the side boards.

Laviolette was then asked about Brian Boucher and Sergei Bobrovsky and he mentioned a comment that I felt needs to be expressed here on SB Nation.

According to Laviolette's Radio Interview, He said, Back in September, BOB told Goaltending Coach Jeff Reese in Choppy English, that once he gets settled, he was going to go a MONTH without LOOSING a game ! NOW This is AWESOME and quite Ironic and I dont know if its easy for Lavy to make that up right now or if BOB really did say that to Jeff Reese or not but it sure makes for great Sports Talk !

When asked why he went with Brian Boucher he stated he still feels that both Goalies are capable of winning in MSG (Steriotypical comment coming from a head coach) but he felt that the NY Crowd and MSG is a little bit unforgiving and a harder place to play and that the BOARDS are older and he felt that He wanted BOB to get the feel of the stadium and get BOOSH in the Net this time around.

INTERESTING ! DONT YOU THINK ?!

LETS GO FLYERS !
