Well i'm just kind of bored so I decided to make a fanpost. I though of the possible cap situation for the flyers next season and had some fun on capgeek.com. I though of the RFA's and UFA's coming up this off-season and drew up this depth-chart for the Flyers' roster next season. Just a note, I added $1.4 million to the the salary cap (bringing it to $60.8 million) and tried to keep the current Flyers' roster together as much as possible.

(these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $60,800,000; CAP PAYROLL: $59,869,156; BONUSES: $1,700,000
CAP SPACE (21-man roster): $930,844
These are my projected salaries and players for the Flyers next season. It gives the Flyers around 900k in cap-space. I gave some of the RFAs and UFAs new contracts. I also subtracted some players from the roster as you may have noticed. The two notable losses are Nikolay Zherdev and Braydon Coburn. I kind of assumed that Zherdev would not be re-signed and subtracted Coburn because of a cap-crunch. I think Coburn would be a likely candidate to be dealt because of the stellar play of Meszaros and his cap-hit.
I gave Boosh an estimated salary of $1 million. You can give or take on that salary. I just gave him the even million to be safe (because I doubt he'll get more than a million and might not even get that). Leino's and Nodl's salaries increased dramatically for obvious reasons. Nodl has a salary of $1.8 million here, and may get even more if he continues at this pace. Leino will have an estimated salary of $2.8 million based on rescent reports on contract talks. I gave Powe and Car-Bomb kind of the same deals as they has this year, so nothing really changes in that department.
I figure Bartulis will be a starter next year. Although he has looked shaky, I'm sure he will be able to pick up the slack. I kept Walker around for the sole purpose of his salary. If he can be a solid third pariing guy, there's no reason not to keep him around. He would even be a good partner for Timonen, making the third pair Meszaros and Bartulis. There's also the good chance of Kevin Marshall and Erik Gustaffson making a push to crack the N.H.L.
So here is my roster for next year. Remember that this is just keeping the current team together. This doesn't mean that I wouldn't be open to roster changes, but remember to keep the salaries under the cap-restrictions.
