Im not quite sure that you can blame last nights loss on the line changes to integrate Schenn into the line up, but I think he deserved better than 1 shot, and a -3 rating. I think it is important to get him into the line up and give him a chance to really see what he needs to work on to stay in the NHL. There is definitely going to be a trial period with lines in this early season, and its not always going to be in perfect harmony like it was for the first 5 games. Thats why, personally, I like the lines at practice today.
Hartnell-Briere-Voracek: Hartnell really needs to get back to doing the things he does best, working hard in the corners and creating chances for Briere, who needs a little boost as well.
Schenn-Giroux-Jagr: Alot of people feel that Schenn needs top 6 time on ice to be effective. Giroux can make anyone look good, so Schenn will need to step up and show he belongs up here.
JVR-Read-Simmonds: I never knew Read played center. But, the speed that Matt has can really open up some space for JVR. I think this line has real potential to give teams fits.
Nodl-Coturier-Talbot: Personally, I liked having Rinaldo out there, but oh well, he will be back at some point. Coturier deserves better than being thrown on the fourth line, but it is a testament to the Flyers depth, and not his play so far. Plus, he is a rookie, sorry kid.
What do you guys think of these lines?
