FLYERS ON THE WEEKEND

Since the 2009-2010 season, a buddy and I have owned two seats for the Weekend Partial Ticket Plan. In that time, it has felt like I consistently watch the Flyers win on CSN and lose at the WFC. So I decided to just do a quick analysis of their wins/losses on weekdays/weekends since we've owned seats. For the sake of this post, weekdays are Mon-Thurs and weekends are Fri-Sun. Also, I didn't differentiate between Ls and OTLs, as I'm at work and couldn't spend forever doing this.

 2009-2010 SEASON

Weekdays: 23-18

Weekends: 18-23

2010-2011 SEASON

Weekdays: 27-18

Weekends: 20-17

2011-2012 SEASON (as of Oct. 24)

Weekdays: 4-1

Weekends: 1-2

TOTAL

Weekdays: 54-37 (91 weekday games; 1.46 wins-to-losses)

Weekends: 39-42 (81 weekend games;  0.93 wins-to-losses)

I don't know what the implications of this are, and I don't know if the difference between a 1.46 and 0.93 wins-to-losses ratio is statistically significant (though I assume it is), but it does show me why I was more likely to see the Flyers win on TV and lose in-person.
