We've certainly been enjoying this new Carter, Zherdev, Giroux combo, haven't we? It seems that C(arter), Z(herdev), and G(iroux) have been "in perfect alignment" on some nights. Wait a second... alignment... CZG... Read the link and let me know if you like The Brainiest Nickname for The Flashiest Line.

Haha, clever. Except Carter is the center, so you’re going to run into arguments over it being in the wrong order.

He would have gotten away with it..

if it weren’t for that meddling logic and order. And people just being stubborn.

Mostly from me, but I’m done on here for the day unless something pops up about the open ice thing, so you’re safe.

Sorry I wanted to samelessly promote my own thing on your fanshot since you promoted in the FlyBy. It’s the circle of self promotion.

Geoff has Boosh, Mike's got Powe, Nodl is all mine!
Is this the right room for an argument?

Fine, BE that way.

I promoted this in the FlyBy because the title had to do with arguing about stuff. So this is a good place to argue about something.

So it’s open season on Don?

Awesome. Don is so hipster, he was a hipster before they were called hipsters.

Don is not a hipster, btw. He has a job.

And like a true hipster he would brag/complain about how being a hipster was cool until it became popular and everyone ruined it for him.

What can't Giroux do?

Carter and Giroux alternate at center on that line.

The orzer they play in matters not for nicknaming purposes.

The Talent Line: they are all talented and are units of mass and value.

Mourning Gagne forever.

Yeah, but David and Amy Sedaris have written plays as “The Talent Family” so they might sue!!!!!

Jeff “High and Wide” Carter
Nik “He’s Gone (after this year)” Zherdev
Claude “Cold Rain and Snow” Giroux

The Dead Line?

Why is G “Cold Rain and Snow”?

I mean, if you’re going to name him after a Dead song, better that than “Tons of Steel.”

Can’t we say he’s “Stronger Than Dirt”?

Well done, I waffled on his quite a bit so I went with one that rhymed.

I knew you’d be the one to point out better names.

If they are The Dead Line, I hope none of them play keyboards in real life.

Unless one of them is Tom Constanten.

Yes the hippie version of the drummer for Spinal Tap.

Giroux would play bass. Cool, calm and the unsung hero of the band.

Except… it doesn’t rhyme. Are you pronouncing Claude’s name wrong?

by Snevik on Feb 7, 2011 5:46 PM EST up reply actions

Snow, Giroux?

Not rhymey enough for you?

As a geek, I think it’s clever, but I’d probably just spell out the word ‘syzygy’ rather than try to explain to people how to pronounce CZG and then have to also try to explain the meaning.

by DragonGirl0583 on Feb 7, 2011 8:42 PM EST reply actions

Oh yeah. I’d call the line Syzygy and then explain it (C/Z/G, the three of them are in alignment, etc).
